Loopa

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Loopa mobile application (“Loopa,” the “App”), published by Robin Kunz (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information. Loopa is a reusable-checklists app for iOS and Android.

The short version Loopa has no accounts and no login. Your checklists, runs, and history live on your device, not on our servers. We use privacy-respecting product analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU). The current version has no purchases; if a future version offers subscriptions, a subscription manager (RevenueCat) receives an anonymous ID and your subscription status. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

1. No Account, Local-First Storage

Loopa does not require you to create an account or sign in. The content you create in the App — your checklists, checklist runs, and completion history — is stored locally on your device (using SwiftData on iOS and Room on Android). We do not have access to this content, and it is not uploaded to us. If you delete the App, this local content is removed with it.

2. Information We Process

We limit data collection to what is needed to run the App, understand how it is used, and keep it working reliably.

WhatProcessorWhy
Product analytics & usage events, crash and error reports, general device/app metadata (e.g. app version, device type, OS version) PostHog (EU region) To understand how features are used, diagnose crashes, and improve the App. Configured to minimize personal data.
An anonymous app-user identifier and your subscription status (e.g. active, trial, expired) — not used in the current version RevenueCat Only if and when a future version offers subscriptions: to manage them and unlock paid features across your devices and reinstalls.
Purchase transactions — not used in the current version Apple App Store / Google Play Only if and when subscriptions are offered: to process payments. Handled entirely by the app stores under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your payment details.

Analytics and diagnostics are pseudonymous: they are associated with a randomly generated identifier, not with your name or an account. We do not link this identifier to your real-world identity.

3. What We Do Not Do

4. Device Permissions

Loopa requests certain device permissions only when you use optional import features. These permissions are used solely on your device, and the imported content is not uploaded to us or to any third party.

Reminders (Apple / EventKit)

If you choose to import lists from Apple Reminders, the App requests access to your Reminders in order to read the lists you select and turn them into Loopa checklists. This happens on-device.

Photos & Camera

If you choose to import a checklist from a photo (for example, a printed or handwritten list), the App requests access to your Photos or Camera so it can capture or select an image and read text from it using on-device text recognition (Apple’s Vision framework). The image and recognized text are processed on your device and are not uploaded.

You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. Denying them only disables the related import feature; the rest of the App continues to work.

5. Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process data on the following bases: performance of a contract (providing the App and managing your subscription), and our legitimate interests (understanding usage, diagnosing errors, and improving and securing the App) balanced against your rights.

6. Data Retention

7. International Transfers

Product analytics are hosted in the European Union. Some of our processors (for example, RevenueCat and the app stores) may process data outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, they are carried out under appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict its processing, to object to processing, and to data portability. Because Loopa has no account and stores your content locally, the most direct way to remove your on-device data is to delete it in the App or uninstall the App.

EEA/UK (GDPR): You may exercise the rights above and have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information we process, and will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, contact us at rk@allbound.ch. We may need to take reasonable steps to verify your request. Note that pseudonymous analytics data may not be identifiable to you, which can limit our ability to locate it.

9. Children

Loopa is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact
